Zvratnice - Bloško jezero

Access to starting point:
A) From highway Ljubljana - Koper we go to the exit Unec, and then we follow the road in the direction of Cerknica and ahead in the direction of Bloška Polica and Nova vas. From Nova vas we continue driving left in the direction of Velike Lašče, and then we drive past the settlement Nemška vas na Blokah. A little after the settlement we get to a smaller crossroad, where a little narrower asphalt road towards the lake Bloško jezero branches off to the right. We park about 100 meters ahead on an appropriate place by the road.
B) From Ljubljana, we drive towards Kočevje or vice versa, but only to the settlement Velike Lašče, where we continue right (from the direction Kočevje left) in the direction of Nova vas on Bloke. Further, we drive on occasionally a little more winding and also ascending road which leads us past some smaller settlements. In Kramplje and after the bridge through Bloščica there are two turn-offs towards the lake Bloško jezero, we both "overlook" and we continue driving on the main road. On a little longer plain, still before the settlement Nemška vas we notice signs for lake Bloško jezero and Volčje, which point us to the left on a little narrower asphalt road. We continue on the mentioned road, by which about 100 meters ahead we park on an appropriate place by the road.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on the asphalt road which for some time passes into a lane of spruce forest. When the forest ends, we step on larger karst meadow, through which we start gently descending on still asphalt road. A little further, we get to the village Volčje, where from the right joins also the marked path from Nova vas. Here we continue left in the direction of the lake Bloško jezero, and then past the church of St. Volbenk, chapel of St. Anton, source with a drinking water and a smaller pond, in the middle of which is situated a miniature church, in few minutes we get to the lake Bloško jezero.
