Description of mountain:
Fürstenstand is with 754 meters the highest top of the hill Plabutsch. It is located west from town Graz and is rising approximately 400 meters high.
On the summit stands a lookout tower, which got its conceptual design in the year 1830, after the visit of emperor Francis I. and his wife Karoline. Tower is today under monumental protection.
From the tower we have a nice view towards the town Graz and western Steiermark.
At the tower is located an inn, to which besides 5 km long asphalt road leads also several marked mountain paths.
