Description of mountain:
Gschaidberg (also Gschaid-Nock or simply Gschaid) is a 1239-meter-high mountain in the Graz mountains in Steiermark.
It is part of the Almenland natural park and a popular excursion destination due to its stunning view.
The view from the meadow at the top stretches from the nearby Röthelstein and Rote Wand in the northwest across the entire Passail basin between Weizklamm and Schöckl in the south.
Marked hiking paths lead to the top from three sides.
A special tourist attraction is the path of wooden sculptures, also a forest learning trail, which leads from Nechnitz to just below the summit.
More than 45 different indigenous animal species can be observed.
