Hochstadel

Description of mountain:
Hochstadel is 2681 meters high peak, which is situated on the east part of scenic Lienz Dolomites. From the top, on which stands a big cross in the memory of the fallen in both world wars, a nice view opens up on all sides. Most beautifully we see main part of Lienz Dolomites, where there is the highest Große Sandspitze (2772 meters), towards the north we see High Tauern with the highest Grossglockner (Veliki Klek) (3797 meters), towards the east, more than 2000 meters lower river Drava / Drau and towards the south Carnic Alps.
