Description of mountain:
Planina Cave (Planinska jama) is a karst cave, which is situated west from Planinsko polje. From the Planina Cave originates the river Unica (before that Pivka and Rak, later Ljubljanica), which after the heavy rains floods the field Planinsko polje.
Planina Cave, Postojna Cave and Rakov Škocjan are in the underground connected to each other, so geographically it is only one cave. But because of all the mentioned caves have their own entrance, they also have their own name.
Near the Planina Cave, next to the parking lot there is also castle Mali grad or Raubarjev stolp, which was built in the 14th century.
