Description of mountain:
Mountain hut Schneealpenhaus is located only a few meters below the 1788-meter-high peak Schauerkogel, on which stands a cross and from which a beautiful view opens up on the highest peak of the Schneealpe mountain group, which is part of the Mürztaler Alpen mountain chain.
Only slightly lower than the hut is also a chapel placed in memory of fallen mountaineers.
