Snowdon is 1085 meters high mountain, which is situated in the heart of the mountain range Snowdon in northwestern part of Wales. It's the highest mountain in Snowdon and at the same time the second-highest mountain in Great Britain. Higher is only Ben Nevis (1344 meters) in Scotland.
Just by the summit there is in the year 2009 renovated center for visitors, which is with the town Llanberis, in the valley, connected by a narrow railway built in the year 1896.
