Stiška vas

Description of church:
Stiška vas is a small settlement in municipality Cerklje na Gorenjskem in the area of the upper Gorenjska. The village is located on a wide terrace south from Krvavec. Settlement besides the village center with the church includes hamlets Hribašek on the west and Škrjančevo on the east. The village church is consecrated to the Holy Cross and dates in the year 1751. In the church, there are Stations of the Cross, which were painted by Leopold Layer (1752–1828). Stiška's church used to be very well visited in the Lent period. Every Lent Friday a procession from Grad went there, and now during the Lent, Masses with the Way of the Cross are on every Sunday afternoon.
