Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu

Description of mountain:
In the middle of the southern slopes of Cjanovca (slopes of Zaplata), which is the secondary peak of better known Srednji vrh, there is situated an interesting forest with name Hudičev boršt. By the lower part of the forest, at the spot, where used to be a hunting cottage, they built new cottage (Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu), which serves mountaineers, hunters, mountain rescuers and foresters... Cottage Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu, which is managed by PD Preddvor is open from 31/3 to 31/10 by Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. By prior arrangement also other days in week.
Tale about the origin of Hudičev boršt: There used to live two farmers, that stubbornly argued for forest, until one in anger said: "The devil should take it!". Instantly the words came true and farmers they just stared frightfully at the devil, who with forest on his back run towards the mountains. He got right to the middle, when at St. Jakob, the bell starts ringing. The devil lost his strength and droped the forest in the middle of the hill.
