Description of mountain:
Zir is a lonely hill, which is situated on the south part of Ličko polje. It seems like a miracle, how the sharp rocky peak is rising from the surrounding plain. The peak is better visited since the highway Zagreb-Split was completed, on which there is also resting place Zir, from which we can clearly see this mountain. On the mountain there is also an interesting cave, at the end of which there is an underground lake. The peak Zira in spite of relatively low altitude, it is an outstanding vantage point. The view opens up on Velebit, on neighbouring mountain range and Ličko polje.
