End of road below Jelovec - Castle Stari grad (Čušperk Castle)

Access to starting point:
From highway Ljubljana - Novo mesto we go to the exit Grosuplje and we follow the road ahead to the mentioned settlement. From Grosuplje we continue driving towards Turjak, but only to a spot, where a road branches off to the left towards Spodnja Slivnica. Above Spodnja Slivnica, the road becomes a macadam, and at the crossroad above the village we follow it in the direction of the hunting cottage (lovska koča) (left - hamlet Zavrh). Only a little further, we come to the next crossroad, where we again continue right (left - village Predole). Further, we drive for approximately 2km and the road brings us to the next crossroad, where we continue left (right - hunting cottage (lovska koča)). We follow this road to its end, where we park.

Path description:
From the starting point, we continue on a cart track which continues from the end of the road. A gently sloping and often quite muddy cart track already after few minutes of walking, it brings us to the first unmarked crossing, where we continue slightly left, on a bit wider cart track. The mentioned cart track which runs without large ascents and descents after approximately 10 minutes of walking, it brings us to a marked path which leads from the village Predole.
We follow the marked path to the right and we continue walking on a cart track which has few smaller crossings, but because the path further is marked, there aren't any bigger problems with the orientation. The cart track then starts ascending steeper, and we follow it to the spot, where blazes point us to the right on a steep footpath on which in good 5 minutes of additional walking, we ascend to the summit of Limberk.
From Limberk we continue on a marked path in the direction of the castle Stari grad. The path immediately starts steeply descending on a quite overgrown slope. Occasionally poorly visible, but relatively well-marked path lower brings us on a cart track which we follow to the left slightly upwards. And the mentioned cart track we quickly leave because blazes point us to the right into a dense forest, where the path continues. Further, the path which occasionally still runs on a cart track, crosses a larger number of crossings. Because the blazes ahead are not that frequent, we will mainly in snow and fog have some orientational problems. The path which mainly in the last part steeply ascends after approximately 1 hour of walking from Limberk brings us to the ruins of the castle Stari grad.
