Jablance - Skalica (Bohor) (via Koča na Bohorju and Veliki Javornik)

Access to starting point:
From Krško we drive towards Sevnica or vice versa. Soon after the Krško, the road branches off to the right towards Brestanica (and from Sevnica a little before Krško left). We follow this road ahead towards Senovo, where we notice the first signs for Bohor (in Senovo we turn left). The road which then runs along the stream upwards, higher brings us on a poorly marked crossroad, where we continue slightly left upwards (the road which goes straight, still along the stream brings us to the mountain hut Koča na Bohorju. Our left road then makes two sharp turns and soon comes out of the forest, where after additional 100 meters of driving, we park on a parking lot by the information board.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue on the right road in the direction of Koča na Bohorju. After few minutes of walking, the blazes point us to the right on a wide footpath which moderately ascends through the forest. When higher we come out of the forest, the path turns left and then crosses a grassy slope, where the path is a little worse marked. This path, which is ascending by the fields, we follow towards the houses in the village, which we see in front of us. In the village we step on the road, on which we then walk few ten strides to the chapel, which we see on the left side of the road.
Behind the chapel, we continue the ascent on a marked footpath which ascends parallel with the road. And the path which is further well-marked through the forest and few smaller meadows, in a moderate ascent brings us on an asphalt road which we follow to the left. The road, on which we walk, then in three minutes brings us to Koča na Bohorju.
From the mountain hut, we continue on the road in the direction of Veliki Javornik and other destinations, and then we get to a meadow Škofov travnik, where there is a marked crossing.
From the crossing, we continue straight (left - Petrova skala, right - Pilštanj) and we continue on the road, from which soon also the path on Koprivnik branches off to the right.
Here we continue straight as well, on the nearby saddle, and at the cross Škofov križ, from the right joins the path which leads via the peak Koprivnik.
Here at the marked crossing we continue on the left road (straight downwards - Planina pri Sevnici), which after few minutes at the turning point ends and we continue the ascent on a cart track which soon splits. We continue slightly right in the direction of Veliki Javornik (straight - Skalica - path which bypasses the peak of Javornik) and gradually we start ascending steeper, and at few crossings we follow the blazes. Higher, we leave the forest and in few steps we reach the highest point of Veliki Javornik.
From Veliki Javornik we go straight and we continue towards the southwest, where we walk by the edge of the forest. After a shorter gentle descent blazes point us left into the forest, through which we start steeply descending. Lower from the left joins also a little shorter path, which bypasses the peak Veliki Javornik, and we continue right and on a cart track we reach a macadam road.
We go slightly right towards Lisca and Skalica (left - Grmada, partisan hospital and Koča na Bohorju via Travni laz) and we continue on the road which is slowly ascending, and after few minutes it brings us to a crossroad, where we go right (the left road descends to the nearby settlements Zalog, Mrzla planina...) and in few steps we get to the saddle between Mali Javornik and Veliki Javornik. Here we go sharply left, on a side road, by which there are signs for Lisca, and we continue on a little narrower road which after the meadow, which we bypass on the bottom side changes into a cart track. The path ahead leads us on a cart track which is mostly lightly descending, and at the crossings we follow it in the direction of the blazes. After some time, we go also past a cross and we get to a marked crossing, where we go sharply right in the direction of Skalica and Planina pri Sevnici (left - Lisca).
Next follows some descent and we reach a small saddle east from Skalica, where the path towards Planina pri Sevnici continues right, and we continue straight towards Skalica, where we at first diagonally ascend on a short steep slope, and then we ascend on an indistinct ridge, on which in few minutes we reach the peak of Skalica, from which a view opens up a little.
