Kampelc - Čelkov vrh

Access to starting point:
From the road Logatec - Idrija at the settlement Godovič we turn onto the road in the direction of Črni vrh and Ajdovščina. After Črni vrh the road starts ascending in a few hairpin turns, then it flattens a little. On this less winding part we will notice on the left side of the road red mountain signposts for Javornik and Čelkov vrh (starting point is located at the road marker approx. 4.5 km). We park on one of the parking spaces by the road.
To the starting point we can also come from the Vipava Valley over Col.

Path description:
The marked footpath immediately leads us into the forest, where it first ascends diagonally, then the ascent continues in a smaller, in places more overgrown valley. Higher, the path turns to the left and after a short ascent brings us to a forest road, on which we continue the ascent. The road then emerges from the forest, and in front of us we notice Čelkov vrh. A short descent follows to the spot where the marks direct us to the right onto a wide cart track, on which we ascend to some houses.
Behind the houses the path goes into the forest, where it ascends a little steeper and higher joins the road which we recently left. We continue the ascent past a gate to a well-marked junction, where we continue left in the direction of Čelkov vrh (straight Javornik). The path ahead ascends diagonally on a less and less vegetated slope, then turns a little more to the left. We follow this path, which ascends more steeply for a short time, all the way to the top.
