Laško - Bašeljski vrh

Access to starting point:
A) From the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway take the Kranj - east exit, then continue driving in the direction of Jezersko. When we arrive in Preddvor leave the main road and continue driving left towards the center of the mentioned settlement, from there follow the signs for the Bašelj settlement. When we arrive in Bašelj, at the beginning of the left bend a narrower road continues straight ahead which leads to the parking lot at the log cabin TD Bašelj (in descriptions starting point Bašelj), we however from the mentioned crossroad continue on the main road a good 100 meters to the next crossroad, where we continue right on the road towards Gamsov raj and hamlet Laško. Only about 50 meters ahead we continue on the left road which gradually starts moderately ascending. At the hamlet Laško we again continue left and then the asphalt ends and we continue driving on a steep macadam road which leads us past a turn-off of the path (cart track) towards the church of St. Lovrenc and hut Dom na Lovrencu. From the mentioned turn-off we drive a little further, to the end of the road or smaller parking lot some 10 meters before.
B) From the Jesenice - Ljubljana highway take the Kranj - west exit and at the first crossroad continue left. Further we drive through the underpass under the highway, then we arrive at a roundabout, from where we continue driving in the direction of Golnik. The path ahead leads us through the settlement Mlaka pri Kranju, we at the end of the settlement continue right in the direction of the settlement Srakovlje. Next follows driving through Srakovlje, Spodnja Bela, Srednja Bela, Zgornja Bela (in Zgornja Bela we join the road from Preddvor) to Bašelj, where the main road makes a long left turn, where in the direction straight continues narrower road which leads to the parking lot at log cabin TD Bašelj (in descriptions starting point Bašelj), we however from the mentioned crossroad continue on the main road a good 100 meters to the next crossroad, where we continue right on the road towards Gamsov raj and hamlet Laško. Path description:
At the end of the road we head onto the left cart track in the direction of Kališče and Storžič. The cart track moderately ascends and after ten minutes of walking brings us to a junction. We continue on the left cart track, which after a few meters ends. The path here leaves the smaller valley along which it was ascending and steeply ascends to the left. After this shorter steep ascent the steepness eases and the path brings us to the partisan hospital Košuta. Behind the hospital the path crosses two successive torrents and then ascends steeply again. The path, which all the time runs through the forest, brings us to a side ridge of Kališče, where the unmarked path from Bašelj joins. The forest then becomes sparser and occasionally a nice view opens towards Storžič. The path then turns slightly right back into the forest. Suddenly we see a hut in front of us, which is located on the mountain pasture below Kališče. Just a few meters further the path from the village Mače joins. Further the path ascends for approximately another 15 minutes through the forest. The path then makes a sharp left turn and in front of us we see the Dom na Kališču hut, to which we have only a few steps left.
From the hut we continue on the wide ridge path in the direction of Storžič and Bašeljski vrh. Already after a few minutes' further walking the path to Bašeljski vrh branches off to the right. We take this path, which through dwarf pines in moderate ascent brings us to Bašeljski vrh. The last meters below the summit are dangerous for slipping in snow.
