Lovrenc na Pohorju - Klopni vrh (via Zgornji trg and on eastern path)

Access to starting point:
A) From the road Maribor - Dravograd, between HE Fala and HE Ožbalt we turn left towards Lovrenc na Pohorju (from the direction Dravograd we turn right). On the other side of Drava we start ascending along Radoljna, and at the marked crossroad, we go slightly right on the main road towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. When we get to the settlement Lovrenc na Pohorju we follow the main road, in the center of the settlement, we turn right towards the primary school, where we park on a parking lot by the school. We can also park elsewhere in the settlement, where there are few settled free parking spots.
B) We drive into Ruše, and then we follow the road towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. In the settlement Činžat we get to a saddle, where the road starts descending, and lower we go left towards Lovrenc na Pohorju. When we get to the settlement Lovrenc na Pohorju we follow the main road, in the center of the settlement, we turn right towards the primary school, where we park on a parking lot by the school. We can also park elsewhere in the settlement, where there are few settled free parking spots.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we return to the center of the settlement, and then we are ascending by the main road towards the southwest. After few minutes, we get to a marked crossroad, where we continue left in the direction of Klopni vrh and Pesek. A gentle descent follows, and when the road turns right, we again start lightly ascending. The path ahead leads us past succursal church of St. Radegunda, where there is also an option of parking. We continue on a sidewalk, and when the sidewalk ends we go right on a side road, on which we quickly get to another road which we follow to the right. Further, we walk also past the last houses of the settlement Lovrenc na Pohorju, and the road passes into the gorge of the stream Radoljna.
On the part, where the gorge narrows we get to a marked crossing.
We continue left over the bridge in the direction of Klopni vrh (straight - Koča na Pesku), and after the bridge we go right, and then we ascend past few houses. In the upper part of the hamlet, where we also go past the last house we get to the stream, by which we continue on a cart track. When we get to the forest, the path turns left and it ascends diagonally. Higher blazes from the cart track point us slightly to the right on a footpath which a little ahead crosses a forest road. A little further, we find ourselves on another cart track, and at the crossing of cart tracks we go right, so that we are for some time ascending diagonally towards the right. Also further follow quite a few crossings, where we follow the blazes, and higher we reach the next forest road. We continue across the road (right - Drtičnikovo), where after few 10 strides of additional ascent, we get to a marked crossing, where we join the path which leads via Spodnji trg.
We continue towards Klopni vrh, and further follow few crossings, so we carefully follow the blazes, we have to be especially careful at part of the clearing, where we go from the cart track left on a footpath. When we return into the forest we go also past a source, and a little higher we cross a bad forest road. Further also follow few crossings, and the path gradually brings us on the northern ridge of Turn. A little further on one of the trees we notice a caption Turen, and the marked path bypasses the highest point of Turn on the left side.
Next follows a short light descent and we get to a smaller saddle between Turn and Klopni vrh. Here we go left and after a minute of additional walking on a cart track we reach a macadam road which we follow to the right. We continue on the macadam road which is slowly ascending and after few minutes of additional walking brings us to a crossing of marked paths, where from the left joins the path from Činžat, and to the right the northern path on Klopni vrh branches off, and we continue straight and after few 10 strides of additional walking, we get to the mountain hut Koča na Klopnem vrhu.
Behind the mountain hut, we continue right towards Koča na Pesku and Klopni vrh, where we moderately ascend through the forest, after few minutes we reach a macadam road, on which we continue the ascent. At the nearby unmarked crossing we go right on a marked cart track (straight on the road - Koča na Pesku), on which on a little overgrown path we in few minutes get to Klopni vrh.
