Migojnice - Gradišče (at Griže) (circular path)

Access to starting point:
From highway A1 we go to the exit Žalec. We do the same when we reach the roundabout. We drive past the industrial area Arnovski gozd. When we come near Žalec, at the crossroad we turn left and then at the roundabout we choose the first exit. We are already in Žalec. In front of Spar and Mercator we turn left (sign Griže) on a road overpass above the railway track. We drive straight to the next crossroad at the tyre repair shop (vulkanizerstvo). Again we turn left (sign Griže). When we leave Žalec, we drive straight across the bridge over Savinja. We soon come to Migojnice. At the first crossroad we turn left. We drive through the settlement to the bus stop. We park below hill Gradišče in an appropriate place. The hill and the church are hard to miss, because the view of them accompanies us the whole way from Žalec.

Path description:
From the parking place by the cross, we continue on foot on the right road. When we come to a crossroad, we go again right (bottom road). Past the houses we slightly ascend to the next crossroad. Here we turn left. After the last gentle ascent, we get to the parking lot below the church and to the last residential house. We turn left and after a few meters we reach the peak of Gradišče on which there is the church of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Locals call the hill savinjski Lurd.
Besides the church there is also a church house and a well where we can quench our thirst. Everywhere around the hill, we are accompanied by a nice view of the vineyard and surrounding hills. In very nice weather, the peaks of Kamnik-Savinja Alps are visible.
We can return on the same path or choose the circular path. If we choose the latter, then at the parking lot we turn left on a macadam forest road. After a few hundred meters it brings us past the vineyard cottage. A little further it brings us to the company Daca. From here we go straight down the road to a crossroad, where we turn left. After a few hundred meters we get to the last crossroad, where the road we went up joins. We turn right, make a few more steps and soon after the bend we notice our starting point. A little more and we are back at the car.
