Osor - Križica

Access to starting point:
From highway Rupa - Rijeka or Zagreb - Rijeka we drive towards Rijeka, and from there we follow the signs for island Krk. When the highway ends, we descend to Krk Bridge. On island Krk we then follow the signs for island Cres and Lošinj and ferry port Valbiska. At the mentioned port we then go with the ferry to the settlement Merag on island Cres (126 kunas – July 2020). On island Cres we then follow the signs for Mali Lošinj all the way to the settlement Osor where over a short swing bridge we reach island Lošinj. Immediately after the bridge we turn right and park on a smaller parking lot. The mentioned parking lot is often occupied, but we can park already on a larger parking lot, which is situated at the roundabout in the settlement Osor approximately 300 meters before the bridge.

Path description:
Immediately behind the bridge, which connects islands Cres and Lošinj, we head onto the ascending road through the camp Preko mosta. At the beginning of the mentioned road we will also notice blazes. After a short ascent the camp ends, and we continue along the road, which further becomes macadam. By the road there are also blazes and a big signpost with the caption »Osoršćica«.
We continue on the macadam road and soon get to a marked junction where the path branches off to the left towards the abandoned village Tržić, to which there is approximately 20 minutes of walking. For a short time we still continue on the road, then the signpost for the mountain hut and the peak Televrina directs us left into the forest.
Further, the path runs mostly through low forest alongside a stone fence. To the right then the path branches off towards Mali Tržić, and we continue straight and follow the signs for the mountain hut. The path then ascends a little more and brings us to a marked junction.
From the left the path from the settlement Nerezine via Tržić joins us, sharply right downwards leads the path to the road, and we continue slightly right and follow the signs for the mountain hut and the peak Televrina. From the junction a relatively level path runs towards the west and after approximately 15 minutes brings us to the next marked junction.
To the right leads a somewhat longer path past the mountain hut, and we continue left where the sign for the peak Televrina directs us. From the junction the path runs mostly through low forest and begins to ascend slightly steeper. A little higher we come out of the forest onto a slope covered with bushes from where a nice view also starts opening towards the sea and the settlement Osor. This is followed by an ascent through a strip of forest, then the path brings us to less and less vegetated slopes with a very nice view of the surroundings. Here the path turns slightly to the left and ascends relatively steeply up the slope. Such a path then brings us to the logbook box.
From the logbook box only a short ascent follows to a junction where we join the macadam road. To the left the road leads towards the transmitter, straight across the road the footpath leads towards the peak Televrina, and we head right slightly downhill along the macadam road. After approximately ten meters the path towards the climbing area also branches off to the left, and we continue along the macadam road. On the left we will then already spot the peak with the cross. The road then quickly brings us to a marked junction, where the sign »Križ 1min« directs us left uphill.
A short ascent follows along a narrow path to the top.
We can descend along the ascent path, or continue along the road to the mountain hut and from there return to the starting point.
