Planina pri Sevnici - Natural window Bohorsko okno (via Hunting lodge Bohor and Veliki Javornik)

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Sevnica (to here from Radeče, Mokronog or Krško), and then we go on the road in the direction of Planina pri Sevnici. When we get to Petrol gas station, which is located right next to Planina pri Sevnici, we turn right in the direction of company Montpreis and immediately after the crossroad we park on a larger asphalt parking lot by the cemetery.
B) We drive to Šentjur (to here from Celje, Štajerska highway exit Dramlje or Šmarje pri Jelšah), and then we follow the signs for Kozje and Planina pri Sevnici. At the end of Šentjur we go right in the direction of Planina pri Sevnici (slightly left - Kozje and Podsreda). Further, we are mostly ascending, and when the road flattens we on the right side we notice Petrol gas station, which is located right next to Planina pri Sevnici, and we go left in the direction of company Montpreis and then immediately after the crossroad we park on a parking lot by the cemetery.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we return to the main road and at the nearby crossroad, we go towards Sevnica. Approximately 20 minutes we are descending along the main road, from which beautiful views opening up on surrounding hills, and then we get to the settlement Stara Žaga, where blazes point us to the left on a side road. The path ahead ascends past few houses and we get to a marked crossing, where the marked path splits.
We continue right towards Skalica on the path via Možnica (straight - Koča na Bohorju, Koprivnik, Veliki Javornik...), where we continue on a cart track which a little higher crosses a forest road. Further, we are mostly moderately ascending through the forest, and at few crossings we follow the blazes. Higher, we get to the northern slopes of Vrh Možnice, on which we are diagonally ascending towards the right. When we reach the macadam road, we follow it to the right, and from there we soon go left on a footpath which quickly returns on the road, and it starts turning more and more to the left, so that we gradually pass on the southwestern slopes of the mentioned summit. Next follows few minutes of easy descent on a macadam road and we get to the saddle between Vrh Možnice and Mali Javornik, where few 10 meters left from the path there is Hunting lodge Bohor.
We continue slightly right in the direction of Skalica and for few minutes we continue on the road, and then hiking signposts from the road point us slightly to the left on an ascending cart track, on which we continue. After few minutes of a moderate ascent on a cart track we reach a small saddle, where there is a marked crossing.
From the crossing, we go left in the direction of Lisca and Bohor (right - Skalica 10 to 15 minutes) and after good 5 minutes of walking on a cart track we get to the next marked crossing.
This time as well we go left (straight - Lisca and Zaloška gora) in the direction of Veliki Javornik and we soon get to the cross, by which there are signs for Bohor. We still continue on a marked path, and at more frequent crossings we carefully follow the blazes. Further, the cart track widens into a macadam road, on which we get to a crossroad on the saddle between Mali and Veliki Javornik.
Here we go right and then immediately left and we are lightly descending on the road. When the road turns right, we leave it and we continue straight on a cart track in the direction of Javornik (right - partisan hospital and Koča na Bohorju - path via Travni laz).
On the cart track, we are mostly ascending diagonally through the forest, and few minutes ahead the path splits.
We continue left steeply upwards towards Veliki Javornik (straight - Koča na Bohorju - path which bypasses Veliki Javornik). Next follows few minutes of a quite steep ascent, and when we leave the forest we go right and on a gently sloping path which runs on the upper grassy slope we quickly get to the highest peak of Bohor - 1023 meters high Veliki Javornik.
From Veliki Javornik we continue straight in the direction of Koprivnik and Koča na Bohorju and we start descending through the forest. Lower, from the right joins also the path which bypasses the peak of Veliki Javornik and is a little shorter, and we continue in the direction of Koča na Bohorju and few minutes ahead we reach the turning point of the forest road. The road in few minutes brings us to the saddle between Veliki Javornik and Koprivnik, where we reach a wider macadam road, where from the left joins also the shorter path from Planina pri Sevnici or Stara Žaga.
Here we go right towards Koča na Bohorju and we continue on the road, from which already after few steps a path on Koprivnik branches off slightly to the left. We still continue on the road which starts descending, and after few minutes from the left joins the path which leads via the peak of Koprivnik. Here we go straight as well and we continue on the road to the next marked crossing.
Here we leave the road and we go right in the direction of Petrova skala (left - Podsreda, Senovo - via Reštanj), Pilštanj and Rudnica, straight - Koča na Bohorju - 1 minute and Senovo), where we walk on a footpath which passes on a slope. The path ahead leads us past the turn-off towards the natural window, and after few steps, we get to Petrova skala, from which a beautiful view opens up.
Before Petrova skala we continue left downwards in the direction of the window. Next follows few minutes of steep descent and we get to a natural window Bohorsko okno.
