Škofja Loka (Najdihojca) - Lubnik (on northwestern ridge / Kurirska pot)

Access to starting point:
We drive to Škofja Loka and further to Podlubnik. We park on a small parking lot below kindergarten Najdihojca.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we go to few meters distant small bridge over Selška Sora, which we cross and right behind the bridge we turn right on a footpath which leads by the riverbed. We are on an area named Vincarje. On our left we have at first a meadow and then a field, and soon we notice on the opposite bank of Sora a small hydropower plant, past which we go. We still walk on a footpath and later on a wider path by the riverbed, until we notice on a tree by the path on the right side signpost for Lubnik, which points us uphill to the left. We go straight. When we come to the bridge Veštrski most we don't go over, we turn left and we stick to this road, we walk on the upper side of the road until it descends. Then we turn steep uphill, the road narrows into a footpath. The path goes past the cave with a source of water, we come on a meadow (ATTENTION!! In the summer it is very overgrown, dense as in some jungle, so slowly and carefully until the meadow opens!). When we cross the meadow, we turn left on a macadam road, we make one turn and we go in the direction of Praprotno, straight. We make few steps, when the road starts descending steeply, we turn left on a poorly visible footpath, and immediately after a shorter ascent, we go steeply right, uphill, on pathless terrain. We cross the road, occasionally the path is visible a little. Here starts an extremely steep ascent. We are ascending until we come past the boulders and we cross the road 2 times. Now we are at an altitude 650 meters and the path ascends to the last road, 773 meters. Immediately after this follows even harder part, we climb over boulders, some we bypass. We cross also a footpath, and then even greater steepness begins. After few minutes of ascending, we turn into rocks, we have to start using hands. When we climb/walk those 15 meters of rocks we are on the top of a very panoramic ledge. Then we turn on the ridge, when the forest starts getting denser, we bypass on the right and we come out below the cargo cableway. We descent via Gabrovo and into Podlubnik. OPOZORILO: This path is only for experienced people, who don't have problems with orientation, who can climb over boulders and the steepness doesn't cause problems. The path in less than kilometer overcomes altitude difference 600m, its average angle from the beginning of the steepness to the end is 67 degrees. The path isn't appropriate for a descent. Some historical trail blaze can be found on the path ;-)
Correction 12.02.2022: I saw somewhere that this is path Kurirska pot. Otherwise the route goes towards the northwest.
