Sveti Lovrenc nad Dragomerom - Strmca (čez Vrhovčev grič)

Access to starting point:
A) From highway Ljubljana - Koper, we go to the exit Brezovica, and then we continue driving on the parallel old road towards Vrhnika. After 4.5 km of driving from the spot when we got on the old road, after the traffic light crossroad we turn right towards the center of Dragomer. When the lines in the middle end, we turn slightly right and immediately straight uphill. We drive there to a crossroad, where we continue right (marked) and on a quite steep road we drive to the parking lot in front of the church of St. Lovrenc.

b) From highway Koper - Ljubljana, we go to the exit Vrhnika, and then we continue driving on the parallel old road towards Ljubljana. After 8.5 km of driving, from the spot, when we got on the old road, we turn left on a local road which continues among meadows and fields. After few 100 meters we get to a hamlet with few houses, where at the crossroad we turn left, and the road only few meters ahead turns right. Further, we drive mostly straight, and then at the crossroad, by which there are garbage containers, we turn right. Next follows a steep ascent and a turn to the crossroad, where we continue left and on a quite steep road we drive to the parking lot in front of the church of St. Lovrenc.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we go on a footpath to the water catchment, which we bypass on the left, immediately when we get to the forest, we continue right on the path. After a short ascent, we come again on a logging trail, which we cross and we continue on a wide path, which brings us on an indistinct ridge. We continue on the most beaten path, which mostly sticks to the ridge. With some shorter ascents and descents over two small hills, the path finally leads on a logging trail. We continue there to the main ridge of Debeli hrib, where there is a crossing. We continue left in the direction of Ferjanka, right Vrh. A gentle path leads us past Vrhovčev grič (if we want we can go also over). The marked path gradually starts descending and we come to a crossroad, where we can go straight on the ridge or left on a marked path. And after 10 minutes, from the right joins also the marked path from Ključ or homestead Pavliček.
Here we continue straight. The path further is ascending gently all to the way to the next crossroad, where we continue left (right - unmarked cart track towards Brezje) After 5 minutes, the path brings us on an indistinct and with a forest covered peak Strmca, where there is a signpost.
