Turkov rovt (Vrata) - Triglav (via Za Cmirom)

Access to starting point:
We leave Gorenjska highway at exit Hrušica and follow the road ahead in the direction of Kranjska Gora. Just a little before the village Dovje the road which goes to Mojstrana (Vrata, Kot and Krma) branches off to the left. We follow the road ahead in the direction of valley Vrata and we drive there to the road sign approximately 10.5 km. Here we will on the left side of the road notice a smaller parking lot and the road which crosses a river. We park so that we don't close the passage over the river (Triglavska Bistrica).

Path description:
From the parking lot, we at first cross river Bistrica, and then on the other side we go on a footpath (we don't continue on a bad road or on the path Pot Triglavske Bistrice), which is moderately ascending through the forest. A little higher from the right joins also unmarked path which leads from the mountain hut Aljažev dom. We continue left and we walk on easy to follow path all the way until it brings us out of the forest on extensive gravel terrain. Here from the left almost unnoticeably joins the path from a lower starting point, and we continue a little towards the right, where we continue the ascent on a well visible footpath. The path a little further turns right and it ascends on the scree to the foot of walls. By the foot of the walls, the path turns to the left and is then ascending diagonally on gravel. Higher, we come in a lane of dwarf pines, where a little poorly visible footpath turns towards the left side of the valley (looking in the direction of ascent). Further, we are ascending over steeper scree, and then the path flattens and brings us in the upper part of the valley Za Cmirom. Here, the footpath again starts vanishing, and we return on the right side of the valley, where we quickly see a poorly beaten, but easy to follow footpath which is further ascending diagonally towards the saddle, which we see on the right or northern side of Begunjski vrh. 15 minutes below the saddle, the footpath entirely vanishes, and we continue the ascent on a little steeper gully, through which we then ascend to the already mentioned saddle.
On the mentioned saddle we step on a marked path Staničev dom - Cmir, and we follow it to the left, where after a shorter diagonal ascent we reach the saddle Begunjska vratca. From the saddle, we continue in the direction of the mountain hut Staničev dom, and we reach it after 10 minutes of additional walking.
From the mountain hut Staničev dom we continue in the direction of Kredarica on the path which gently ascends below the scree of Rž, and then it ascends diagonally over the mentioned scree to an indistinct notch in the side ridge of Rž. The path then with the help of fixed safety gear descends a little and then again ascends. After a little less than an hour from the mountain hut Staničev dom, the path brings us to the summit of Kredarica. From the top, we descend few minutes to Triglavski dom na Kredarici.
From the mountain hut Triglavski dom we continue in the direction of Triglav on a path which starts moderately descending towards the saddle between Kredarica and Mali Triglav. Here from the right joins the path from the valley Vrata, and we continue straight on an increasingly steep path which starts ascending on rugged rocks. After few minutes of a steep ascent on the path which runs by glacier Zeleni sneg, we get to the beginning of the climbing part. By, already from the far visible big blaze, we will notice the sign which warns, that we will continue the ascent on a very demanding secured mountain path. The path ahead ascends even steeper on rugged rocks, and then with the help of steel cables we cross to the left, where we get to a technically very demanding spot. The path ahead ascends diagonally on an exposed ledge, which is secured only with iron spikes. Ahead very steep and a well-secured path brings us on the ridge of Mali Triglav, where from the left joins a little easier path from Planika.
We continue straight on a ridge path, and in few 10 strides of additional walking brings us to the summit of Mali Triglav. From Mali Triglav, from where a nice view opens up to the summit and on a larger part of the path which is in front of us, the path slightly descends, and then it brings us on an indistinct saddle between the both peaks. The path ahead again starts ascending, on a well-secured ridge path. This very panoramic and on some parts also very steep path, we then follow all the way to the top of Triglav.
