Zavetišče na Biba planini - Goli vrh (Šavnice) (on marked path)

Access to starting point:
From Kamnik or Vransko we drive to valley Tuhinjska dolina. Soon after the village Zgornji Tuhinj (from Vransk a little before) at the gas station to the left (from Vransko to the right) a road towards the village Češnjice branches off. Further, we drive through the village Češnjice on the road which soon behind the village becomes a macadam and above the village brings us to a smaller crossroad, where we continue right in the direction of Menina planina. The road that is almost all the time ascending, we then follow to the mountain pasture Biba planina, where we park on a parking lot by the road (cottage on Biba mountain pasture is located a little above the road, 3 minutes of walking).

Path description:
From the parking lot below cottage on the mountain pasture Biba planina we continue on the road in the direction of the mountain hut Dom na Menini planini (a sign is in very bad condition). After few minutes of walking, we come at the marked crossroad, where we continue on the right upper road in the direction of Oltarna peč and mountain hut Dom na Menini planini (by signs is also caption, that we are entering in a bear area - an old sign). The road then passes out of the forest on an ample pastures of Menina planina. We then follow this mostly slightly ascending road to a crossroad at the lake Biba (larger pond, which we will notice left below us). At the crossroad, we continue right in the direction of Oltarna peč and the peak of Šavnice (left mountain hut Dom na Menini planini). The road ahead crosses a larger meadow from which a view opens up a little on peaks above the valley Savinjska dolina, then crosses a lane of a forest and then it brings us to the smaller crossroad, where we continue on the left road (right Oltarna peč). Further, the road gradually changes into a cart track which crosses slopes towards the east. Further, the cart track changes into a pleasant mountain path, which past a smaller cottage brings us on a panoramic meadow, in the middle of which stands a monument (and a little to the right bigger watering place for animals). The path then crosses a grazing fence and ascends through a short lane of a forest. Further, we bypass secondary peak of Šavnice on the right side and we slightly descend on a smaller saddle between the both peaks. Next follows a short steeper ascent and the path brings us on the upper slope of the mountain, which we then with increasingly beautiful views follow to the peak.
