Zgornji Tuhinj - Sveti Vid (above Zgornji Tuhinj) (on cart track)

Access to starting point:
A) We drive to Kamnik, and then we follow the main road through the valley Tuhinjska dolina, which leads towards Vransko. In the settlement Laze v Tuhinju we turn left towards Zgornji Tuhinj. From the spot, when we leave the main road follows approximately a kilometer of ascent and we get to a marked parking lot below the parish church of the Assumption, where we park.
B) We leave Štajerska highway at exit Vransko, and then we follow the signs for Vransko. Next follows a gradual ascent to the mountain pass Kozjak (658 meters), from which we start descending. Lower, we drive also past Petrol gas station, after that approximately 1 km ahead we turn right towards Zgornji Tuhinj. Next follows an ascent past few houses, and in the center of the settlement near the church we start descending, and the road turns sharply left. Next follows few more 10 meters of a descent and we get to a marked parking lot, where we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, we start ascending on the road by which we've parked and at first, we go past snack bar Okrepčevalnica pri Mežnarju and parish church of the Assumption of Mary, where the road turns right. The path ahead leads us past few more houses, and then signs in the shape of a bird with a yellow border point us to the left on a side road.
We continue past the farm Pr Šanc and past few several individual houses. We continue the diagonal ascent on a still asphalt road, and before the next homestead we go left following the signs Sveti Vid.
The path ahead leads us on a cart track which ascends past the hayrack, and then we continue by the edge of the forest, where we follow Stations of the Cross. When we a little higher reach the macadam road we go left where also an arrow on tree pointing us to (right - Sveti Vid by Stations of the Cross). Further, we are ascending diagonally towards the left, where we walk on a worse macadam road, and a little after the holiday cottage which is situated right above the path we get to a marked crossing, from which we continue sharply right towards Sveti Vid (left downwards - Camino de Santiago route).
After the crossing, we are ascending diagonally towards the right, and the path leads us on a quite a steep cart track which higher joins the macadam road, where we join the path via Stations of the Cross.
We continue left, where the road quickly comes out of the forest and then we get to the church of St. Vid, which we see on the right side.
