Ampferstein

Description of mountain:
Ampferstein is a less noticeable peak, which is located between the better known Marchreisenspitze and saddle Halsl in a scenic mountain range Kalkkögel.
Despite that it is a less known, the peak is relatively well visited, because just below it runs a popular secured path "Lustige Bergler", which is also the only marked approach on Ampferstein. The view from the top is comparable with the one from the neighbouring Marchreisenspitze, although the latter veils the view towards the valley Stubaital and western part of the valley of river Inn; on the other hand, from Ampferstein one of the most beautiful views open op on Marchreisenspitze, we can also clearly see mountain ranges Mieming and Nordkette above Innsbruck, Zillertal Alps and part of Kalkkögel.
