Description of mountain:
Hochalmspitze (also Hochalmer), often named as the queen of High Tauern is with 3360 meters the highest mountain in the group Ankogel. The mountain is made of granite and surrounded by numerous glaciers. From the top on which stands a bigger cross is a very nice view of a larger part of High Tauern, we can also clearly see Julian Alps and Dolomites. Mountain was first ascended according to now known data by Paul Grohmann in the year 1859.
