Malnež

Description of mountain:
Malnež is 846 meters high panoramic peak south from Karawanks mountains, which is situated on the eastern side of a small valley in which is situated village Koroška Bela at Jesenice. On its vantage point, right above the settlement, stands quite big religious symbol - cross, below which there is a pleasant bench. From here a nice view opens up on Koroška Bela, Javornik and Jesenice with Mežakla towards the west.
Because years ago on Malnež they found bronze winged axe from the bronze age, peak belongs also among archaeological sites, which are characteristic for area below Belščica and Stol.
