Description of mountain:
Monte Pelmo is 3168 meters high mountain in Italian Dolomites. The mountain is a little distant from other mountain groups and that is why it is very clearly visible also from very far away. Mountain was first ascended by John Ball on 19th September 1857. After him was named also the famous ledge on which leads the easiest approach to the top. From the top that has a cross is otherwise a very nice view of a larger part of Dolomites, a view in nice weather reaches all the way to Triglav.
