Description of mountain hut:The Pod Ježo Mountain Hut, formerly a border guard post, is located along the ridge road on the Kanal Kolovrat at an altitude of 740 m and is managed by the Valentin Stanič Kanal Mountaineering Association. The hut has an ideal location for hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists, as well as for explorers of First World War remnants along the former border with Italy. The ridge road and the peaks of Kolovrat offer a magnificent view north across the Soča Valley to the Alps and south across Venetian Slovenia and Matajur to the Friulian Plain all the way to the sea.

- From Volče via Solarji Pass: 12.5 km
- From Ušnik via Volčanske rute (partly gravel): 9.6 km
- From Doblar along the Doblarca valley to Pušno, then right to the hut (partly gravel): 8.5 km
- From Ročinj to Kambreško via Srednje: 12 km
- From Kanal to Lig along the ridge road via Kambreško and Srednje: 19.5 km
- From Benečija (Italy) to Livek via Livške ravne
- via Solarji Pass

- or a pleasant walk to the pools of the Idrija River, the Doblarca gorge, and numerous viewpoints over the emerald Soča.
Since 2020, the Juliana Trail also passes by the Pod Ježo Mountain Hut. Visitors are welcome:
