Description of mountain:
Some call Visoka Bela Špica the Beauty of the western Julian Alps. It is a very difficult-to-access mountain; the first ascent was reportedly by Trenta guide Andrej Komac and Julius Kugy on August 2, 1886, from Zgornja škrbina Belega potoka on the western side, which is still the easiest normal route to the summit. Northern approaches (such as the northern ridge) are much harder and require appropriate mountaineering skills.
