Bos taurus

Cow is domesticated cattle. In Slovenian mountains and neighbour Alps we can notice them on mountain pastures in summer season when herdsmen drive them up to a mountain pasture. Male is called a bull which can become wild and very dangerous. Cow can also be dangerous but very rarely. Cows are very friendly, peaceful and helpful to people. Cows give us milk which is we know very best. Herdsmen drive their cows to valley in autumn because it gets colder. They stay in closed spaces in winter. We know more species of cows. We distinguish them also by their color. Colour of cow or bull is not cruical for definition of its species.
