Common Raven (Corvus corax)

Common raven is an alpine bird which belongs into family of crows. About 60cm tall bird lives in a region from forest edge till 3000 metres height above sea level and more. It descents a little bit lower in winter time because a lack of food. Sometimes it descents also to alpine valleys. Common raven is known by its shiny black blue color of feather and a strong beak. It nests on rocky ledges or on trees. It lays 4-6 eggs in march or april.
