Erinaceus concolor

The white-breasted hedgehog (Erinaceus concolor) is 1 of 15 species of hedgehogs that live on Earth, of which only 2 in Europe. The white-breasted hedgehog, also eastern European hedgehog, differs from the brown-breasted (Erinaceus europaeus) hedgehog by the color of its breast. The white-breasted hedgehog grows to about 25 cm, and can weigh more than 1 kg. Hedgehogs breed 1 to at most 2 times a year, usually from March to August. The female is pregnant a little more than 30 days, then usually gives birth to 2 to 5 young.
