Pig (Sus scrofa domestica)

Pig, hog or sow are three names for the same species of animal. Pig is a domesticated animal raised all over the world, and in summer it is often seen on alpine pastures. Well-known pork is produced from the pig. A young piglet is called a suckling pig.
