Golden monkshood is a subspecies of the narrow-helmeted one. In Slovenia we have three subspecies of the narrow-helmeted one. More correctly it is Aconitum lycoctonum subsp. ranunculifolium. This subspecies grows on rocky slopes, among tall stems, in light forests and forest edges.
