Alpine Rose (Rosa pendulina)
Description:
Alpine rosehip is a shrub up to 2m tall on which from May to August we observe larger flowers pink to violet in colour. On the flower, which has a diameter of about 4cm, five petals grow, in the centre of which we observe numerous stamens. The plant can be observed on forest edges and in the scree belt in most of Slovenia up to an altitude of 1800m.

Alpine rosehip is also called spindle-fruited.

In Mala Flora Slovenije it is called just spindle-fruited rosehip, so the name alpine rosehip should be corrected to spindle-fruited.

And now every little flower already has its own "general discussion", why not put it all under Which flower is this.

tinky, that's because there's a special section Flowers (see on the left like Weather, Alpine animals, Webcams...) and because velkavrh in these rainy days has thoroughly tackled every flower, so flowers appear one after another. I think it all depends on the site's design and the administrator, how this thing is handled. regards

Your remark makes sense, certainly, perhaps the administrator will get a hint from this to group all these flowers, if there are comments on them, under the name Flowers, so that not every single flower pops out... Also the Riddles, of which there are quite a few types, could be grouped under one name Riddles...

I think it's quite right this way, that each flower can be commented on, and there would be nothing wrong if one could also add a picture as an attachment to one's post.
