Description:
Alpine toadflax (Linaria alpina) belongs to the figwort family, flowers from June to September, grows 5 to 25 cm tall. This is a low mountain flower with an unusual color combination of flowers. Flowers are blue-violet-orange. Usually it's a cluster of flowers noticeable from afar. Leaves are bluish-powdered, fleshy, in whorls of 3-4. It is common in mid-montane and high-montane areas. Grows on calcareous, moist, and rocky soils up to 3,000 m.
