Is this the same flower that I asked about last week, I saw them on the mule track to Dolič, so it's the Julian columbine.

I got an answer. The columbine I was asking about and saw on the mule track to Dolič is Einsele's. Thanks Peter 2.

I've already elaborated on aquilegias. Here we have completely different aquilegias - true, they are very similar in flower. The July aquilegia - Aquilegia iulia - is a Slovenian endemic, Bertoloni's - Aquilegia bertolonii - is another species. We also have common - A. vulgaris, dark violet - A. atrata, many-flowered - A. nigricans, Einsele's - A. einseleana. The alpine one supposedly doesn't grow with us.

Who sees red?
The color of almost all columbines is blue, including Bertoloni's.

Corrected to blue color.
