Description:
Meadow bistort (Polygonum bistorta) belongs to the knotweed family, flowers from May to August, grows from 30 to 80 cm tall. Grows up to 2500 m on wet nutrient-rich soils, moist meadows and pastures. In the spike-like inflorescence there are numerous small pink flowers. Leaves below bluish-green and softly hairy. The plant is known as a medicinal plant and wild vegetable.
