Aquilegia nigricans is up to 40 cm tall plant that flowers from late May to July on grassy slopes, sometimes among scree mainly on clayey and calcareous soils. The bell-shaped flower blue to violet in colour surrounds five corolla leaves likewise blue to violet in colour.

On the last image it is not velecvetna orlica, not due to color, but due to the size of the flower leaves and the shape and position of the spurs.
The color of velecvetna is blue, not red at all. If we considered white color here, we would have to classify it in every plant species, as albinos - hypochromatic specimens without pigment - appear everywhere.
