Description:
Dark Mullein is a plant that grows 50 to 100 cm tall. It can be observed from mid-spring to the end of summer on forest clearings, meadows, shrubbery and also on water banks. Dark Mullein is recognized by yellow flowers with purple stamens on the upper part of the stem. There are dozens of flowers on one plant.

If the petals are glabrous on the outside, this is woolly mullein (clearly visible on buds if photographed very close-up). Black mullein should have basal leaves with a heart-shaped base, which is also not visible in this picture.
