Dwarf Alpenrose (Rhodothamnus chamaecistus)
Description:
The dwarf alpenrose is a 10 to 30 cm tall plant that flowers from May to July mainly in the Alps. The plant has a pinkish-red flower on which five petals grow. It thrives in rocky fissures, scree, and among dwarf shrubs on limestone and dolomitic soils.
