Description:
Grass of Parnassus (Parnassia palustris) belongs to the Parnassiaceae family, flowers from July to September, grows 5 to 30 cm tall. Grows throughout the Alps up to 2500 m and is often seen. Grows on moist, often calcareous sites. Has white flower veined with green veins. Flowers solitary, 1-3.5 cm wide - yellowish-green in the center. Basal leaves in rosette - entire, heart-shaped and petiolate. In the lower third of the stem has only one heart-shaped sessile leaf.

The correct name is marsh grass-of-Parnassus.
