Mountain Houseleek (Sempervivum montanum)
Description:
Mountain houseleek does not grow in Slovenia. Leaves in rosettes are velvety hairy over the entire surface, flowers are quite large, diameter 4-5 cm.
Protected plant like all houseleeks.

There are supposed to be four species of houseleeks growing here. Besides the mountain one (I cannot confirm the correctness of the picture) also cobweb, alpine and common. Many houseleeks are borderline too. I think this is actually the common houseleek (Serpervivum tectorum subsp schottii). It was photographed above the village of Soča in that rocky area, on the path to Bavški Grintavec.

Mountain houseleek looks different, has larger and darker pink flowers, prinas does not grow. Cobweb houseleek also does not grow here. Ours are only Juvan's and common. There are more species abroad.
