In Slovenia two subspecies of white narcissus grow in the wild. Narcissus poeticus subsp. poeticus is actually a cultivated narcissus that has escaped into nature. In fact, our only white natural narcissus - mountain narcissus - also called kjučavnica - Narcissus poeticus radiflorus. Extensive growth areas are in Gorenjska on Golica, and elsewhere around there. They can also be found on Goričko and very many in Primorska - Slavnik, Vremščica and elsewhere. According to Flora Sloveniae there are also double-flowered and yellow ones - I think these are not autochthonous species. Abroad many natural narcissus species also grow. Several species can also be bought here as cultivated varieties.
I do not know the differences between our two white narcissi.
