Description:
Pyrenean deadnettle (Horminum pyrenaicum) belongs to the Lamiaceae family, flowers from June to August, grows from 10 to 40 cm tall. This is a beautiful high-montane flower similar to sages, to which it also belongs by genus. It loves calcareous soils, sunny places. It grows on meadows and pastures, along mountain paths at altitudes of 1600-2900 m. We will encounter it from Vogel towards Spodnja Komna and elsewhere. Leaves are in a basal rosette, long-petioled, wrinkled, serrated along the margin. Violet flowers are in a one-sided spicate inflorescence.
