Reseda-leaved Bitter-cress (Cardamine resedifolia)
Description:
Description: Only a few cm tall crucifer with leaves similar in shape to mignonette (Reseda). Has tiny white flowers. Fruits are 12-22 mm long narrow pods. The identification key states that its stem leaves have auricles at the base, while the lower leaves are entire. However, since it is so small, it is easily distinguished from other bittercress species. Especially because it grows only on andesite bedrock (volcanic rock), which makes it extremely rare in our country: it is found only on Komna (Smrekovec). Otherwise, it is scattered across most European mountain ranges, in the subalpine and alpine belts.
