Various legumes are often encountered on our mountain paths mainly below the forest line and also higher up, and we simply overlook them. For the southern one, it is stated that it grows between 1200m and 1800m. It loves limestone, rocky soils, abandoned meadows, scree. The alpine one can be found up to 3000m. The southern vetch is white.
