Spring Snowflake (Leucojum vernum)
Description:
Spring Snowflake or also known under the name kronica grows primarily in moist areas (near rivers, streams, lakes, and marshes). It can be found elsewhere as well, but is less common. It is recognized by its white petals of equal size. On each of the petals, of which there are usually eight, the tip is colored yellow. The flowers, which usually have six stamens, are facing the ground.
