Description:
Bearded pink (Dianthus barbatus) belongs to the pink family, flowers from June to September, grows from 20 to 70 cm tall. Known to all of us as sweet william - like Turkish carnation, which occurs as cultivated in
gardens in various colors. In nature, however, it is only beautiful red. This pink is also found in valleys as well as in mid-mountains from 1000 m and even up to 2500 m. Grows on dry, calcareous, nutrient-rich sites, therefore likes to grow on the edges of pasture meadows. Flowers are at the top of the stem in a dense inflorescence, surrounded by pointed bracts. Leaves are up to 2 cm wide.
