And another hiking to Falkert and on to Falkertkopfl, wonderful circular tour. Today weather very warm (too hot), beautiful views, larches in nicest colors. nasmeh

I can't believe I'm writing only the third post on this page, yet such a beautiful world is there, especially in this autumn time nasmeh

This beautiful fiery color in multiple shades draws the eye from afar, up close you spot ripe blueberries and cranberries growing above 2000 m. Unbelievable, early October here.

We started at Heidi Alm pasture and first ascended to Hundsfeldscharte saddle, where we turned right to Falkertkopf getting closer view to Klomnoc, Rinsennock and Glockenhütte hut, reached by Nockalmstraße road. Then down to Falkert summit where hikers gathered diligently, some on foot, some via ferrata. Then descended to Falkertscharfe saddle, where descent via valley direct to lake was possible, but we went up to Rodresnock too, which you must do first time here. Well, I was nasmeh

. But Falkert opposite keeps drawing eyes, especially beautiful over fiery blueberry leaf plains that color wonderfully now, as I said. Lake view (Falkertsee) attracts strongly too, which we circled almost fully.

We drove via Ljubelj pass, avoiding Austrian motorway, making 120 km from our side. Road to Heidi Alm (8 km) free, parking too. Some parking parts privately leased. On return noticed two more Slovenian cars at parking.

Well, I know it's nice there, since last year I spent some vacation days in Bad Kleinkirchheim in autumn when larches yellowed. Conquered quite some peaks.
True, I don't post my wanderings anymore.

Yesterday we Pondeljkovci, retirees section PD Škofja Loka, went wandering in Austria. We visited Nockberge - rarely Nockgeberge. This is the highest range in the Krške Alps. Here is a popular ski resort mainly for families Falkert and even something for adrenaline enthusiasts of extreme via ferratas. True, the via ferrata is short but demanding. Even Bojan climbed it as I saw here. Our goal was the summit above the lake Falkertspitz - 2308 m high. To it leads a partly steep, rocky path on the left side, which enthused us mainly with abundant blooming of alpine flowers. We climbed to the summit very slowly and arrived at the panoramic summit in one hour and a bit. The view from the summit is beautiful all around. Only this summit above the volcanic origin lake - Falkersee - is wonderful. Only this summit is somewhat rocky on one side and offers even to me a via ferrata, which is extremely demanding. Down we went by the southern side. This area offers many easy ski slopes mainly for beginners and families with small children. At this time it's already full of vacationers. We had not too hot weather. Full of beautiful impressions we returned to Slovenia and promised ourselves that we will return here, because beautiful easy summits here are plenty.
